Scaling content design's influence
I created one voice across eight projects: content strategy for the QuickBooks-GoCo Human Capital Management integration.
THE CHALLENGE
In May 2025, Intuit acquired GoCo, an all-in-one HR platform, with the goal of transforming QuickBooks from where businesses do their books to where they run their entire business.
I led the content strategy across eight simultaneous workstreams, delivering a product integration in twelve months.
GoCo brought its own voice, its own content patterns, and its own assumptions about whom it was talking to. Reconciling these differences across the workstreams—while shipping on a one-year timeline—required a clear content strategy, not a patchwork of decisions made under deadline pressure.

MY STRATEGY: 5 PILLARS
-
AI guidance: defined guardrails for AI tool use across the integration, maximizing speed without sacrificing clarity.
-
Content audit: evaluated GoCo's existing content to establish a baseline and surface the highest-impact quality opportunities.
-
Voice flex: deployed voice flex for speaking to employees rather than business owners.
-
Content empowerment for product designers: brought the most critical content creation principles directly to product designers for better first-draft decisions.
-
Content debt prevention: implemented proactive content coaching to intercept problems before they reached production.
MY IMPACT AND RESULTS
-
Increased Alpha launch readiness by designing a marketing screen and final release refinements, resulting in clearer messaging and a stronger narrative flow.
-
Reduced content redundancy and customer confusion across the experience by improving clarity, tone, and strategic alignment across multiple touchpoints.
